Regardless if you are playing Campaign, Horde, Versus Multiplayer, or Escape in Gears 5 the weaponry you have at your disposal is a huge in the combat. These guns and weapons can unleash decimate any opponent that gets in your way and you have a wide variety to choose from that ranges from Pistols to Heavy Weapons. Ultimately the ones you adhere to will depend on your playstyle, what you prefer, and the overall feel of the weapon. Best Standard Weapon

These types of weapons are anything that is going to equip to either left or right on your d-pad. This is basically anything that you can stow away that is not a pistol.

#1 - Lancer GL Assault Rifle

The Lancer GL is the third iteration of the assault rifle, the chainsaw bayonet has been replaced with a grenade launcher which gives it explosive firepower. The grenade launcher has a laser targeting system which makes it very accurate.

#2 - Gnasher Shotgun

The Gnasher Shotgun is a short-barreled, lever-action military shotgun that has a large clip, high damage and a decent reload time for a shotgun.

#3 - Longshot Sniper Rifle

This weapon is a high-caliber, single-shot, bolt-action sniper rifle that has an excellent rate of fire.

Best Pistols

It is important that you equip a decent pistol because during the heat of battle you may not get an opportunity to reload your primary weapon and having a good pistol can actually save your life.

#1 - Boltok Pistol

The Boltok Pistol is a standard issue Locust sidearm that is known for its power and accuracy. It has a decent clip size and the ability to zoom in which makes it extremely accurate over moderate distances.

#2 - Talon Autopistol

The Talon Autopistol is a close-range sidearm that is capable of doing a lot of damage to smaller foes. It is most effective when used in short bursts and against enemies at close range.

Best Heavy Weapons

Heavy weapons require two hands to use and have high damage compared to other weapons, their big drawback is they have limited ammo and it can’t be refilled by picking up resupplies.

#1 - Tri-Shot Chain Gun

This chaingun is a heavy weapon that fires three bullets at once, offering a high damage and fire rate. It is particularly effective at doing explosive damage at a close range. They can also be wielded by DR-1s.

#2 - RL-4 Salvo Rocket Launcher

This rocket launcher is a heavy weapon that fires missiles in a spiral/curve trajectory. It has a good rate of fire for a rocket launcher and its large radius that lets it kill multiple targets at once make it ideal for crowd control.
