Go to "free play mode" and pick a family with two ro more people in the family. Have the other person press start and the screen will split in two shoing the other person on the bottom. I haven't tried this in "Bustin' out mode".

in Bustin' out mode you need two families, one each memory card.

Have two memory cards with a game on each. Have the second player press start.
It will say my bus will be there in a minute.
After a couple minutes the screen will split in two and the other person will be there on the bottom half.

To play Two Player Mode, first of all, you must select the "Free Play" mode in the starting screen. Create at least two people. When you actually start playing, (make sure there is a controller in the first and second socket of your gamecube) on player two's controller, press start. Your t.v. Screen should split in half, allowing two people to play at once.
