I have had that problem too. All you have to do is just keep putting in the code until it works. And don't worry, they don't mess up your game.

Only work the Ford GT Castrol Syntec car, and the Burger King challenge. To make easy the use of this cheats, you should use the D-Pad to enter the codes.

Are you putting them in at the "press start" screen? That's where you have to input them.
