For Pokemon ruby, a mystry event is a thing that allows you to swipe e-rader cards

Where you trade or give mystery gifts to other trainers that you link up with such as your friend you cannot get on mystery events without a link cable and a mystery
gift

Do you mean mystery gift?,mystery gift is a thing that gives you stuff if you use it with a friend.

Mystery Gift is were you trade with a friend and then get mystery prizes with the trading reward, it can be anything.
