Question for Pokemon Ruby

I've been wondering this for a while. But does anyone know what the mail does.

Do I give it to a pokemon or what?

You get Mail and when you give it to a pokemon it lets you write a note on it so when you trade a pokemon holding mail your friend can read the note you wrote.


PS: You can't deposit a pokemon holding mail in Lanette's PC.

Mail is a way to communicate with your friends on Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire.

You type a message, give it to a pokemon trade with a friend and your friend takes the mail and reads it.

This mail thing is nothing more than a carryover from the Gold, Silver, and Crystal versions that allow two traders to communicate colloquially.

Attatch one to a Pokémon and trade it to communicate...
