Shiny's look different, the colors are not the same-sometimes alot, sometimes not, but when you look at it's summary, it will look different than the other Pokemon's summaries do. It's sort of harder to tell in R/S, but when you look at the summary it's number in the top left corner will be in GOLD, rather than white. It's easier to tell in FR/LG-different color background, and in Emerald, too, but mark it with a heart or something so you'll know it's a shiny-they're very rare! Congratulations! Quite a find if he's really a shiny! Also, when he comes out to battle, there will be stars around him (sort of like with a Master Ball)-that's one way to tell if you've run into one in the wild, besides their color difference, which can be hard to tell sometimes.
It will have a diffrent color and it will have stars when you summon it or run into a wild pokemon.
Hope I help
If the number of the Pokmon in the profile screens is written in gold rather than white, or if stars shoot out when it enters battle.
Yes you can get shiny Pokemon look around and you should find some
When you encounter a Pokemon, there is a slight chance it will be shiny. So it's completely random. Shiney Pokemon have stars flying round them when they go into battle, and their colour is different from normal. Shiny zigzagoons have a more orangy-brown on their darker stripes.
