Question for Pokemon Ruby

Hey people
K, I just got my hands on a ROM of Pokémon Ruby. I read that you can only get the other pokémon (and national pokédex) by trading pokémon from other versions. If I'm using a ROM then surely this can't be done (or can it?), so is there any other way that I can gain access to the other pokémon?

To be honest you should play th game the old fashion way on the gameboy advance and I don't think you can trade when using a Pokemon ROM

You can't trade using the ROM version, i'm afraid you'll just have to do without those Pokemon.

I'm sorry, but you can't trade Pokemon using ROM, you will have to get a friend to help you out.
