Question for Pokemon Ruby

I axidentaly deleted dig (tm) and I just got interested in the Regis is there a way a pokemon can learn dig on its own and how?

Trapinch will learn it at lv. 40.

Trapinch learns Dig at L41, DON'T let him evolve into Vibrava at L35. Nincada learns Dig at L45, again don't let him evolve at L20.
You can catch Trapinch in the Desert Ruins (the sandstorm), and you can catch Nincada on Rt 116.

Catch a Trapinch from the desert and train it but DO NOT LET IT EVOLVE. Eventually it will learn it.
