What is a KYOGRE, I know it had a battle with groudon and everything but can you catch it. I thought it was what your get in saphire, or is that latios. It's making my head spin?

Put your mind a rest.Yes, it built the world's oceans. You can ONlY get it from Sapphire, on Ruby you get Groudon, they are in exactly the same place (cave of Origin) and are at the same level. The Pokemon you get depends on what colour you tell your mam the bird is after you have beaten the league. Latios is blue (i've got it, lv.100) and Latias is red.

Kyogre is the Pokemon you get in sapphire. Groudon is the Pokemon you get in the cave of oregin in Ruby. Kyogre cannot be caught it ruby, but in sapphire it can. Latios is also JUST in Ruby, and Latias is JUST is sapphire. Did I stop your head from spinning now? Lol!
In ruby you get groudon and in sapphire you get kyogre. In Emerald you get both. I though you could pick either latias or latios and try to catch it after you beat the elite 4.
KYOGRE is the legendary Pokemon that fought with Groudon a million years ago...
But you can only catch it IN SAPPHIRE...
LATIOS is the legendary bird Pokemon that you can catch IN RUBY...

Ok Kyogre you can only get him on saphire and groudon on ruby.
You don't catck Kyogre in ruby you can catch groundon and latios in ruby and kyogre and latias in sapphire. Unless you have a eon ticket that take's you to the southern island then you can catch latias in ruby and latios in sapphire
Here is a basic rundown.
Groundon & Kyogre had a catycalismic battle that flooded the earth and raised continents. The red and blue orbs glowed and put an end to the war and put them both to sleep.
In sapphire: Archie stole the red orb and kyogre woke up. Kyogre got angry and started a torrential dowpour. It fled to the cave of origin and you have to battle/catch it. The rain stops and archie returns the orb.
In ruby: the same only maxie took it groundon woke up got really sunny went to cave you fight/catch maxie returns the orb.
Latias: big red psychic bird in ruby after elite four.
Latios: same; blue, sapphire elite four.

For Pokemon Ruby, Groudon can be caught in the cave of origon, and in Saphire, Kyogre is caught there.
