Question for Pokemon Ruby

Hi please help my Pokemon ruby isn't working when I save the game then turn it off when I want to play it next it dosen't have my saved game please tell me why it isn't working

You should make sure that it says "The game has ben saved" or something. If that doesn't work, exchange games at the store it was bought at
