Question for Pokemon Ruby

Hello again!!

I've just made it to Sootopolis City and the gym door is locked and an old man is blocking the way to the Cave of Origin.

I never found Capt. Stern underwater or saw anyone under water.

Do I need to do something to get rid of the old?

Please reply asap! Thanks

You need to dive, look around.

There should be a cave that looks like the one into sootopolis but don't be mistaken!!!

There will be a submarine, click on it, and you take it from there
