I was just wondering how would I go about catching an Abra without it teleporting from battle?

Use a great ball and hope 4 the best.

Catch a trapinch in the sandstorm north of Mauville with arena trap ability and teach it rock smash.

Go to granite cave and make sure trapinch is first in your party and when you find abra it will say teleport was made ineffective by arena trap.

Because ot only knows teleport it will keep doing that so use a timer ball or use rock smash and then a pokeball.

A bra is yours !

I suggest you put them to sleep using SPORE because it's accuraccy is 100% and them throw Ultra Balls. Or, have a Kirlia with Teleport and Imprison. Use Imprison and Abra won't be able to use Teleport so he will use Struggle.

The esiest way is to just use a greatball. it worked for me the very first time
