Do the Game Shark Eon tickets work?

I'm not sure but my friend got the eon ticket on AR for the GBA (not sure how he did it) with the eon ticket you can go to an Island to capture aother Latias or Latios. (depends on version)

If works the guy who says 'may I see your ticket' he sees the eon ticket he goes inside and another person comes out. You go to the island and in the woods its small in there. Theres an orb, go to it you will hear the cry and battle it. (at L50) may know different moves.

PS: I know I seen it happen.
