Question for Pokemon Ruby

Hey, I'm having problems in Granite cave. I go in the entrance go down the ladder, and fall all the way down to where you find the stone hidden in the rock. Both ladders out of there are slippery. How do I get from that level to STEVE?

OK, here's what to do:

1: Make sure you bring a Pokemon with Flash.When you walk into the cave, there will be a hiker. Continue walking past him to the left. Keep following the path around until you find a ladder. Go down it.

2: You will be in a Dark Room. Use Flash. Then keep going right. You will pass a steep slope. You can only go up there if you have a Mach bike, but you don't need to go up there anyway. You will pass a part where you can go down. I think there's an item there, so you can go there if you want. Otherwise, continue right, until you find another part where you can walk down. Go down there and there will be another ladder. Go down there.

3: You should be able to od the rest yourslef, as there is only one way you can go from now on. Eventually, the cave will get lighter, and you won't need Flash. At the end, in a small room, is Steven.
