Kabuto, no doubt, when it evolve to kabutops it will be awesome. I think it's the dome fossil you need to get and then take it to cinnabar island and revive it at the Pokemon lab.

I personally think Kabuto is better than Omanyte. It's your choice but I really suggest the Dome Fossil.

Kabuto in my opinion would be better if you want to use attacks such as water and rock type moves; Omanyte is just the same but is a pinch weaker than the Kabuto, but this choice is up to you; if it was up to me I would go with the Kabuto.

In my opinion I think Omastar is the best out of the 2 because I trained one to level 100 and it is very strong, but the nature of the Pokemon also affects how it grows while leveling up. If you want the faster one pick Kabuto(dome fossil), I know that because I have Kabutops over level 80 too. P.S. My Kabutops has a high attack and my Omastar has a high sp. Attack. Just keep in mind that it's nature affects how it grows while leveling up too.
