You got to use a cheating device,like a gameshark/action replay.

Well to go to birth island you need to go to either Washington DC or Seattle and go to their pokemon centers and ask them to download it into your game. But you won't be in Birth Island you will get something called the OLD SEA CHART and if you use it yu will be able to go to birth island.

Either by a nintendo event or an action replay code(you need and action replay unit which I bought here in canada for 29.99 or 39.99)the ar code sometimes goofs up your game, but if you don't like what happens you should save you game bafore you use an ar code
