SURF - Go as far as you can in the Safari Zone to a big house and the man inside will give you HM03 (Surf)
CUT - Go to Vermilion City and go on the ship. Go to the Captain's office and he will give you HM01 (Cut)
FLASH - When you enter Vermilion City from the North, to the right there should be a scientist. He should tell you that a man an Route 2, I think, and he has something for you. He is Right above Viridian City, only don't go into Viridian Forest, but to the right. You will need the HM01 (Cut)
FLY - Go a few steps West of Celadon City and use HM01 (Cut) on a tree along the fence. Go past the house with the old man in it, and into a small house with a woman in it. She will give you HM02 (Fly)
STRENGTH - Go to the Safari Zone and by the Big House somewhere you should find "Gold Teeth." Take them to the Warden's house, which is in Fuchsia City, to the right of the Pokemon Center. Then he will give you HM04 (Strength)
ROCK SMASH - Below Mount Ember on Island 1, go into the Ember Spa. Talk to the man standing in the corner and he will give you HM06 (Rock Smash)
WATERFALL - Find it in Icefall Cave. HM08 (Waterfall)
