Electric/Flying (Zapdos),
Water/Ice (Dewgong),
Psychic (Alakazam, Mewtwo),
Dark (Tyranitar (If you can't get him yet, use someone who knows bite/crunch),
And 2 of your choice...
Assuming you cover all these elements, you should have no problem defeating the Elite Four.

Well...my team I had Articuno, Blastoise, Zapdos, Moltres, Poliwrath, and Pidgeot all at level 53. When you going against Lorelli use Fire and Electric(Moltres,Zapdos). For Bruno I used a Flying type...or any flying attack and a water Pokemon for his onix. For the the poison girl...i used my Blastoise and used his Hydro Cannon...*any of the ultimate attacks do very good..only with her Gangars* and the rest of her team I wiped out with fire. Lance...he was easy, his dragons are very VERY weak against ice beam...(Articuno) except for Aerodactly. For Aerodactly use water or electric. And Gary or whatever you named your rival...well you should know his weaknesses since you been battling him for ever in the game.
