how to get a shiny

I've been trying to get a shiny by saving before you get a starter but I've tried for ages but I know there is a code for the gameshark(sp) and I can't figure it out qand on utube it always says the code for VB(visualboy) and not sp so can you post the shiny code for me?

Saving befor geting a startr dosn't work just run around in tall grass, caves, or in the water if your lucky you will get a shiny I got five Golbat, crobat, zubat, migtyena, zapados. I don't no the game shark code though.

After 60 hours you can find the everywher, but after 23 hours playing i did have a SHINY DRAGONAIR, A SHINY HORSEA and a SHINY MEWTO, all level 100 now, without gameshark !!!!!!!
