I have it but it wont work. I tried communicating with Pokemon emerald but it wont work. Help

Have you beat the whole game on leafgreen?
When you have to obtain the Sapphire & Ruby stones?

If you haven't then you can't trade to Emerald?
If you have beat the whole game and got the Sapphire & Ruby stone
Then it should work.

I think you can only trade using a Wireless Adapter.
I don't think a Link Cable will work when trying to connect to Emerald,
But with S&R it works.
