I've never tried but I don't think so. You are welcomed to try though.
Well it might improve the odds to get a shiny but I'm not really sure I never had a shiny ditto.
If you find out can you share it with us please?
I it doubles the the chances. I've also heard if you breed two shinys, you only have 1/6 chances of getting a shiny baby
normally the chances of a pokemon being bred shiny is 1 in 8192 but when you breed a shiny pokemon the chances are 1 in 4096 so its still not a high chance hope this helps
Once upon upon a time, I bred 2 shiny gyarados, one American, one Japanese what do I get...? HANNAH MONTANA! no, a bunch of stinkin' non shiny magikarp
I found a shiny ditto, seriously, in leaf green, it's blue in colour. I found it inside the cerulean cave. I am now trying to breed it with magmar.
NO, you can not breed a shiny ditto with a non-shiny Pokemon to increase your chances of hatching a shiny. This was only true in the G/S/C versions of the game, and has changed since then. Now, you still have the same chances, 1/8192, of finding a shiny in the wild, as you do hatching one from an egg.
