Question for Pokemon FireRed
I was wondering should I buy firered/leafgreen or wait a month until emerald comes out but i've heard thast emerald is just like sapphire and ruby(which I have)

Emerald is a remake of Ruby and Sapphire but it's been changed a little. There are some things that have been added on and some pok�mon locations have changed. Fire Red and Leaf Green are remakes of Red and Blue with added extras. Both are great places to start. It's totally up to you what you buy. I recommend both.

FireRed and LeafGreen don't have too many differences. There's certain Pok�mon only for FireRed and certain only for LeafGreen. I say, get both so you can get them all. As for Emerald, it's more like a combination of Ruby/Sapphire, with new things like Battle Frontier. And you can catch Mew in it, as well as the speed form of Deoxys.

You should really buy wich ever you want. I have fire red and Ruby, but I don't have Emerald.
I THINK it is almost the same as Ruby but you can capture both kyroge and groudon.

Well, Emerald is better than R/S, but very similar except in the whole Battle Frontier thing at the end, better animation, catching both Groudon/Kyogre, both Team Aqua & Magma, more Jhoto pokes, etc.;it's a great game.
FR/LG are the same way, except they copy the R/B/Y originals and take place in Kanto, and are like R/S in that way, but also, they have much, much more improved equipment and graphics and stuff from R/S-like berries(no growing though!)-but they have alot at the end like Emerald has the Battle Frontier, the FR/LG games have the Sevii Islands and Jhoto pokes there, too, which is all new stuff.
It's a tough one, but do you want a Mewtwo & Legendary Birds+1 dog, OR rather have Groudon&Kyogre, another Rayquaza, Regi, and the Lat you didn't get?? It basically comes down to areas and Pokemon you prefer to play with.
IMO-get both(LOL-you can't afford probably, but buy used FR/LG for maybe $25, then Emerald used when you can find one for about the same. Or you can get one or the other used at GameStop, check it out, then exchange for the other and see which you like better!It's an idea.)when you can-they're worth it even if you just like Pokemon, but must haves if you're a true fan.
Get FR/LG first and you can Trade over most others to fill Pokedex from R/S....
