I usually recommend a mixed type team. Since you can get the three Legendary birds before battling the Elite Four, I recommend training them as best you can. Also train your Pokemon until around level 60 and tge Elite Four will be pretty easy. Hope this helps.

Guest answered:

I beat them with these pokemon. Blastoise around level 70. Moltres (legandary bird) level 55. Jolteon (good for beating the ice trainer) snorlax (takes alot of damage) dragonite (level 55) and last but not least nidoking. But I've got no advice for beating them the second time there too strong even tho I've got Mewtwo I still can't get past the dragon leader hope this helps basically just find each member of the elite fours weakness and train Pokemon that will have super effective attacks

instead of a jolteon as electric i would suggest that a pikachu or a raichu because you are able to get it as one of your first 5-10 pokemon so it can really gain many levels whereas you can only get a jolteon much later in the game

I was able to get jolteon before my 4th gym so I had plenty of time to level it up
Guest answered:

No, jolteon is better than raichu tenfold. It is alot faster and it's special attack and sp Def can go higher than raichu, if memory serves

Guest answered:

My team was Blastoise (bite, body slam, Surf, and water gun)
Nidoking (Rock Slide, Thrash, Earthquake, and Strenght)
Electrode (Lightscreen, Flash, Thunderbolt, Swift)
Dragonite (Hyperbeam, Fireblast, Thunderwave, Ice Beam)
Snorlax (Psychic, Metronome, Body Slam, Amnesia)
Farfetch'd (Slash, Toxic, Fly, Sword Dance)

I tried not to make my team to OP. I didn't have to choose farfetch'd or electrode. (Only got legendary birds after beating Elite Four) Also I didn't want to make my moves too OP. I could've had Rest on snorlax or maybe have my dragonite slam instead of thunderwave) Another thing was since I wanted a challenge. I beat the elite four and Gary in one go with Pokémon levels of low to mid forties

Guest answered:

Blastoise
Raichu
Flareon or Arcanine
Nidoking or queen
Snorlax
Hitmonchan

Guest answered:

Well, I personally think the team below that I've listed is pretty good:
Blastoise
Arcanine
Jolteon
Vileplume (Or Exeggutor) Note: Exeggutor would be more viable due to it's secondary psychic type
Nidoking
Pidgeot
