A Good Team

In your opinion, what do you think a really good team would be for Pokemon firered? I don't want to have more than four (haha, rhyme) main guys, and I'm not able to do link trades or anything special like that.
If someone could help me out that would be great. Thanks!

Well I have beaten this game. I will tell you my strategy. Focus all your training on your Starter Pokemon and if you catch them the legendaries and don't worry about the other Pokemon, and soon enough you'll have level 70-80 Pokemon. That is my recommendation. So basically an unstoppable team would be your Starter Pokemon, Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos.
Good Luck. And Happy Gaming.

EspeonDude_ answered:

Only four? You'll have a difficult time, just so you know...

But if you're serious, you may need to rely purely on legendaries (and your Starter.) and train them to a higher level just to get through.

Hope this helps.

Rangerman answered:

Ok, my opinion is that you need one of every type of pokemon. So get a grass, fire, water, electric, psycic, and rock. For the Starter Pokemon, choose Bulbasarur cause he is both Brocks and Misty's weakness. Get Pikachu in the first woods you get to. Abra after you cross the bridge, and get Vulpix.

MUDKIPTORCHIC answered:

Well it kind of depends were you are in the game like I just beat the 3rd gym so the team I have would be good here it is

Wartortle Lv24
Pikachu Lv19
Beedrill Lv19
Raticate Lv20
Pidgeotto Lv20
ButterfreeLv18
I hope This Helps!

This is not good. You can't have only four Pokemon in your party. You need to think ahead. What are you going to do when you get to the Elite Four? I suggest finding out two new Pokemon, and you need to compile your team with Pokemon that are diverse and it need to have a mix of elements for different types of Pokemon.

k66 answered:

Well my team that I beat the game with is Mewtwo lv70 charriard lv70 dragoningt lv 58 lappras lv 54 Zapdos lv 50 pidgeot lv 56 so I say get a Pokemon with 2 tyeps and train them like this Starter up 4 levels othe Pokemon up 3 lelvels ( after you get you starter up 4 then switch to a nother and so on)

Guest answered:

Well.....this is what i'd go with

Charizard-belly drum, return, rockslide, flamethrower/blast burn

Vaporeon-Surf, icebeam, toxic, ????

Crobat-shadow ball, areal ace, confuse and mean look to trap a grass type or unprepared fighting type so they can't switch

Nidoking- earthquake, megahorn, brick break, seismic toss.seismic toss will almost always always take atleast half of a low hp pokemon's health.
