Hmmm, catch every Pokemon you come across? I do not think that that is a really good idea, so I say that you should not do that. Oh no, no, no, no. No matter what Pokemon you get the game, you are going to have to level them all up at the end of the game. There are no super Pokemon that you can use, even if you use Legendary Pokemon, you will have to level them all up. You should have a Pokemon Team that has different types like a fire Pokemon, a water Pokemon, an electric Pokemon, etc. Hope this helps.

Rangerman answered:

Yes, it is a very good idea, that way you don't have to go back and try to find them. Sorry, can't help you out with the team question, But keep collecting.

Mario_Legend answered:

Firstly, it's a good idea in some ways. If you don't have a GBA link cable/Wireless adaptor you cannot catch every Pokemon though, for fire red doesn't have a selected few leaf green pokemon. This also makes it easier to train certain Pokemon you like, so that you don't need to go everywhere to catch a new one. The bad thing is that it's a complete and utter waste of time. Also, I listed two teams that work well in the game, a legendaries team and a normal team, because I am aware some people don't like legendaries in their teams. Legendaries: Zapdos, Articuno, Lapras, Alakazam, Flareon & Venusaur.
Non-Legendaries: Charizard, Lapras, Alakazam, Vaporeon, Raichu and Golem/Steelix.

If you aren't certain of those choices, always include 2 water types, a flying and a fire/grass and electric in your team. That's all you really need to remember.

gamelord d answered:

No sorry it does not sound like a good idea because there are some really stupid pokemon. But if you want to complete your poke deck then it's a good plan. Hope this helps.

marielue5 answered:

Well I don't think it's a good idea, you should first just beat the game, then try to get the pokes, that way your pokes will be at a higher level making it easer to catch the pokes you want to catch, plus you could use the hm Fly and move around easy to find the pokes, anyways as for a good catching team, you would want a Pokemon that can put other Pokemon to sleep, or parolize burn etc. Them, also try to make your team diverse in types, hope this helped.

KnockEmDead1996 answered:

A great Pokemon Team for Pokemon fireRed would be Venasaur, Dragonite, Machamp, Poliwrath, Chansey, and Pikachu/Raichu. This team has a good chance because it contains more advantages against more Pokemon types than disadvantages.

I hope this helped.
