A few helpful hints

Hi! This is my first submission to supercheats. Pokemon Emerald has got to be one of my all time favorite games :D

There's one thing that bugs me. I find that everybody always seems to be saying things like 'Go to route 110! That's where you can get latias!' or 'Catch shiny golbats in victory road!'. Truth is all that stuff is COMPLETELY random! Like, for example, I caught my latios in the middle of the ocean while training a pokemon. And I caught a shiny wurmple in the grass just outside of petalburg. You just need to look around for a bit and be patient

Here's a tip for contests: Feed your Pokemon LOTS of pokeblocks! Though, not just random pokeblocks. They need to be the right colour. I'll list them here:

Red pokeblocks= coolness

Blue pokeblocks= beauty

Pink pokeblocks= cuteness

Green pokeblocks= smartness

Yellow pokeblocks= toughness

You feed them to your Pokemon according to what contest you want them to be in. The more pokeblocks you feed them, the more chance of winning you have. Though, you'll have to find out which berries make whick colour by yourself. Also, please note that eventually your Pokemon will become full, and not want to eat anymore pokeblocks ;)

Here's a hint for Rayquaza: Timer balls are your best friend. Make sure to bring plenty along with your before you battle him. You may also want to bring some Max Repels, because the Pokemon in the sky pillar can become quite annoying... But it's worth it in the end when you get your wonderful, powerful level 70 rayquaza :D

Many of you may be wondering how to get Espeon and Umbreon. Well, to do this, you must have 2 GBAs, a link cable, a copy of Pokemon emerald and a copy of Pokemon leafgreen/firered. You also must have an Eevee on your leafgreen/firered. Now, trade your eevee from leafgreen/firered over to Pokemon emerald. As you may know, your time is set in emerald (that basically means that it can be 11:00am, etc) and so it can be night or day, it just doesn't look any different when you walk around. Now, it's quite simple. Get eevee to love you as much as possible, then make it gain a level. If it's night, the eevee will evolve in umbreon. If it's day, eevee will evolve into espeon. Yay!

Lastly, I'm going to tell you my team. They're not great, but we're still in training for the elite four.

Seadra (soon to be kingdra), lvl 53, Blizzard, Icebeam, Surf, Hydro pump

Skitty (mainly contest pokemon), lvl 54, Return, Covet, Attract, Assist

Absol, lvl 56, Slash, Shadow ball, Thunder, Aerial Ace

Blaziken, lvl 58, Double kick, Blaze kick, Slash, Fire blast

Grovyle (still in training), lvl 26, Pound, Pusuit, Absorb, Quick Attack

If anyone knows a good electric Pokemon to have, please tell me ^_^
