Date of Question: Apr 6 2007 | Question ID: 81415 Hey I have two questions. Um the first is I'm looking to catch a scyther. And I've been all through the safari zone and one hasnt popped up yet. Am I looking in the wrongs spots or what? The second is I've heard stuff about getting a mew. Is there any way besides cheating you can get a Mew in any of the Pokemon games for gameboy? Thanks.

No you arent in the wrong spot and safari zone is the right place to look of scyther.

Scyther is in the safari zone, I guess you must just be unlucky as it appears in any location, keep looking! The only way to get a Mew is by using a cheat device.

Scyther is extremely rare in all the games and it could be you are indeed searching in the wrong place. If memory serves correct he is in the third area and in a giant sqaurish grassy area. Sorry if this description isn't good.
I'm not sure really about the Mew thing.

Scyther is really Rare, just keep looking.
You can get Mew by using the Mew glitch. You can view the glitch on YouTube.

Mew onthe other hand can only be captured using a cheating device

BUt it is very rare.
Mew apparentely there is a glitch.
