it works perfectly i have all 3 starter and it only took like half an hour. i have never cloned or anything but i got all 3 first go. (Done on Crystal version). like one of the above people said you must turn off your game (as you are changing boxes) as soon as your game finishes saying warning dont turn off the power

Crystal works fine. I have caught all 3 starters,but the timing is much more tricky compared to the other cartridges which have a lot more room for getting the timing right.

It took 3 days of trial and error to caught all 3 of crystal where ican do it in less than 30 minute on gold and silver.

just follow: IT WORKS.. But not the way that he wrote it..
Instead of storing your second starter pokemon in a different box, just store it with the first one when you're trying to get the last starter. Here's how I did it

1st starter: Cyndaquil
captured wild PKMN and stored Cyndaquil in the first box
2nd starter: Chicorita
repeat the first step, except when storing it, store BOTH the first and second starter in box 1
3rd starter: Tododile..
there you go.. Hope you guys got it too

you're all noongahs, if you use the gameshark code for all starters, it's 010075da it only stuffs the save and you can't show elm the mysterious egg mr. pokemon gives you, so don't go there, don't say it doesn't work cause i've done it literally hundreds of times, you just need practice, wait half a second after the fullstop appears on the screen, you can clone up to 5 pokemon and whatever they are holding at a time, so if you want all eevee evolutions then just clone them

when saving after changing boxes, you turn off the game before it finishes saving, but not too soon. so immediately after it finishes "do not turn off the power" warning, turn it off, and follow the above instructions by repeating it this way.

Im using crystal version, is it true that you cant clone in crystal version like the dude up above me said? Because I tried it and when i turned my game back on i was standing in front of the pc and i didnt even have a cloned pokemon. I just want to know if this is impossible for me or not.
