Find Lieutenant Anderson

As Connor, enter Jimmy's Bar and you'll be told to look for Lt. Anderson. You can try scanning the other patrons in the bar to get to know them, but the person you're looking for is the one sitting at the counter with his back to you. Speak with him so Connor can introduce himself.

Hank is the only character in the game Connor can actually forge a bond with (Amanda doesn't count), so be nice to him and win his friendship if you're looking to get the best ending.

In any case, the man makes it abundantly clear that he wants nothing to do with you from the start. Be UNDERSTANDING and REASON with him before offering to BUY HIM ANOTHER DRINK for the road. The last option will boost his trust towards Connor, and the pair will leave for the crime scene.

Investigate the Crime Scene

When you arrive at the scene, Hank tells Connor to wait in the car. Be PATIENT to give Hank's trust another boost then exit the vehicle anyway to follow him into the house. Listen to the briefing here until Ben finishes and you will be able to explore freely to examine the evidence. Keep in mind however that wandering around too long will make Hank lose patience and want to leave the scene. If this happens, you will have no choice but to follow him so try to move quickly.

Start in the living room and check the bits of red ice next to the TV on the left. Analyze the blood on the floor nearby and Connor will put a sample of it in his mouth, leaving Hank disgusted. Next check the knife on floor to note the lack of fingerprints on the weapon. Moving forward to the table ahead, there's an Eden Club flyer on the edge that you can look at. Go right to open the closet as well, but there's nothing special in there.

Hank should now be done examining the victim's body so it's Connor's turn to have a look. Analyze the victim's face, mouth, hand and the stab wounds to the body. Reconstruct the events based on these details and you'll know that both suspect and victim came from the kitchen. Next analyze the message on the wall above the victim's body.

Onward to the doorway leading to the kitchen. There are two sets of dried blood on the door jamb and the wall for you to catalogue. Take a right at the hallway and exit through the back door. Here, examine the shoe prints on the ground before heading back inside. Do not enter the kitchen yet and go to the bathroom at the end of the hallway instead. There open the shower curtain to find the obssessive writing on the wall, then look down to check the statue.

You can go to the kitchen now. Check for fingerprints toppled chair, the missing knife on the wall and be sure to look around the area for a magazine as well. Next analyze the two key spots of the bat on the floor then go talk to Hank in the living room.

Report to Lieutenant Anderson

Now you have to recount the sequence of events leading up to the murder. It all began IN THE KITCHEN where the victim started hitting the android WITH THE BAT. THE ANDROID STABBED THE VICTIM in self-defense. The wounded victim then fled to THE LIVING ROOM, where the android eventually murdered him WITH THE KNIFE.

Find the Deviant

Scan the wall outside the bathroom to find traces of Thirium and also note that a ladder was used. You can open the broom closet as well if you like but there's nothing important in there. Look up to the ceiling afterward to find more blue blood on the hatch leading up to the attic. Now go to the kitchen and grab a chair so Connor can reach the hatch and check the attic.

There, just move along and you'll eventually come across the terrified android. Connor gives away the deviant's location despite it's pleas. That concludes the chapter.
