If you know anything about Pokemon and the 3rd Generation, you should know that the Pokemon Slaking has Stats better than most Legends and Mythical Pokemon. However, in order to neutralize this unearthly strength in a normal Pokemon, the Pokemon Company gave Slaking the ability of Truant. With this ability, Slaking is only able to attack every other turn in battle. However, since Pokemon GO doesn’t include abilities, most players thought they would be able to basically find a Pokemon with the same power of a Legend with no setbacks whatsoever. Unfortunately, Niantic and the Pokemon Company were already one step ahead of most, having a plan in mind with Slaking so it wouldn’t absolutely break the Pokemon GO Battling System. Instead of crippling the Pokemon once again with an ability, the Pokemon Company rather gave Slaking only the move of Yawn as it Quick Attack. Even though this so-called attack builds Slaking’s power to unleash its Special Attack, the move actually does no damage whatsoever. Essentially, this means that Slaking can do nothing but Special Attacks, having to wait to build enough energy to only do these types of attacks. Even though this is nothing what players were hoping for with Slaking, the Pokemon still remains one of the best of Hoenn Region just solely upon being able to use Special Attacks and having the unrealistic Maximum Combat Power of over 4500.
