Pokemon Sun & Moon Early-June Update: Legendary Mascot Information

As promised, the Pokemon Company released a brand new update for the upcoming Games of Pokemon Sun & Moon. The information that was shared wasn't the grandest, most exclusive news yet, but it did clarify a number of things and showcase a few things not yet known.

For starters, the Mascot Legendary Pokemon of Sun will in fact be called Solgaleo, as many earlier leaks described it would be. Believe it or not, with the design it was given, it will actually be the fourth Pokemon Species with both Psychic and Steel Typing (Metagross Family, Bronzong Family & Jirachi). It will have a brand new ability called Full Metal Body, which prevents its stats from being lwoered by another Pokemon's move or ability. And it will also be able to learn a new move called Sunsteel Strike.

On the other hand, the Legendary Mascot for Pokemon Moon will be called Lanala, and is yet anothe Psychic / Ghost Type Pokemon (like Hoopa). It will have the ability Shadow Shield, which is virtually identical to the ability Multiscale, which halves the power of an Attack if the Pokemon receiving it is at full HP. Lunala will also know the special move of Moongeist Beam.

The Professor will be called Kukui, with a so-far mysterious aid named Lillie. Your friend (possible rival) will also be called Hau. And there is also a new Rotom Form, one that resembles a Pokedex (and can be used as such).

There will also be a new feature in these games that allow players to create a QR Code and send it to their friends of Pokemon they have seen or caught in their Pokedex. If their friend scans it, the entry will be uploaded into their Pokedex, and they can then try to locate the Pokemon in their games for themselves.

But that was all that was released in this little update. However, more new has still been promised in this month's CoroCoro that will be released later this month, as well as in an upcoming E3 Pokemon Special in the middle on the month!
