Top 10 Most Annoying In-Game Pokemon

#8 - Tentacool

Coming in at number eight in our countdown is Tentacool, the persistent water type Pokemon. Tentacool is the third first generation Pokemon to make the list. Apparently, the Pokemon creators wanted to put a certain level of difficulty and frustration in the earlier versions. If that truly was their goal, they were successful; if it wasn't, they were STILL successful at it. Every early Pokemon Gamer should know what I'm talking about, and they should definitely remember how irritating Tentacool was.

Tentacool made our top ten for a number of reasons; the first being the rate it appears. Tentacool always seemed to appear when surfing. If the trainers in the water weren't annoying enough, this thing put the cherry on top. You literally could barely surf before running into a Tentacool. Sure, you could run out of the battle, but they'd keep appearing. They were almost as bad Zubat. Actually... They are exactly like Zubat, but of the sea instead of caves. Yeah... They appeared THAT much.

If that wasn't bad enough, they had pretty decent defensive stats and an amazing type advantage. Because it is a Water/Poison Typing, it was hard to take down if you weren't using an Electric Type Pokemon. Squirtle (and its evolutions) didn't do much damage to it since they are both water types; Charmander (and its evolutions) were useless against them since it is weak to water types; and Bulbasaur (and its evolutions), even though it is a Grass Type, didn't hurt it as much since Tentacool was part Poison. If you were prepared for it, you'd have to keep running and trying to avoid them.

Tentacool was uber annoying in the earlier games. It was bad enough that you had to defeat all of those surfers and swimmers in order to get to Cinnabar Island, but Tentacool made the experience even worse.

#7 - Miltank

Up next in our countdown is Miltank, Gym Leader Whitney's Star Pokemon. Miltank is the first and only second generation Pokemon to make our top ten list, and for good reason too. It might seem harmless, but every Pokemon Gamer remembers this aggravating cow.

Picture it... You're playing Pokemon Gold or Silver as a child. You've already defeated the first two gyms, and with ease. You get to Goldenrod City, and your first thought is to battle the Gym Leader. You storm there in a hurry and defeat all of the Gym Trainers. You get to Whitney, the Goldenrod City Gym Leader, and you defeat her first Pokemon within a blink of an eye. For a second, you think you'll defeat her within one try... And then she sends out this thing... And you soon realize you're far outmatched...

You think that because your Starter Pokemon is at a higher level that it will attack first, but you're wrong. For some reason, this cow is faster. It let's off a Rollout, but, luckily, it does minimal damage. You command your best move, BUT this thing takes almost no damage; its defensive stats are too high, and you're beginning to realize it. Before you know it, it unleashes another Rollout and then another, building in power each time. Soon your Starter Pokemon faints, and you know none of your other Pokemon can take what this thing is giving. Within minutes, you black out and find yourself at the nearest Pokemon Center. You try to beef up your team, and it seems to help, but Miltank uses Milk Drink this time around, and restores its Hit Points like nothing happened. You find yourself back at the Pokemon Center seconds later.

This is the tale that most of the early Pokemon Gamers fell prey to, and it's the reason why Miltank made our list.
