Top 10 Best Games of 2014

6. Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series

Let me first start off this section by saying don't worry, no spoilers. Game of Thrones is one of those epic fantasy franchises that everybody vehemently tries to avoid seeing or hearing spoilers for. Pretty much everybody who is anybody has either seen or read Game of Thrones and having something spoiled just plain sucks!

After turning in a massive hit with their The Walking Dead game which won numerous awards back in 2012, Telltale has also done Game of Thrones justice with this title. It is perhaps the first true Game of Thrones game that is actually worth playing. True to form, it is a point-and-click adventure game spread across six different episodes (which as of this writing only the first has been released). Players' actions and decisions will influence how events unfold in later episodes.

The game revolves around characters from House Forrester. This House has never been mentioned or shown in the show thus far but is apparently mentioned somewhere in the books. The events of the game are said to take place at the same time as the show starting from the end of season three up until the start of season five.

Game of Thrones got some good review scores thus far with the console versions of the game scoring notably higher than the PC version. Based on how popular Game of Thrones currently is as a series, the video game can be counted among the best of the year.
