02. Bioshock (2K Games, 2007)
When Bioshock arrived it was not simply something new and refreshing, for a lot of gamers it embodied the essence of the new reality in video games - the AAA title that held as much (or more) entertainment potential as the typical motion picture.
You have to admit that the story that was told was certainly entertaining! But then you also have to admit that betrayal of this sort is not only shocking and downright nasty, it was also the last thing you expected to learn and hear.
The realization of the truth was far more difficult to accept thanks to the carefully crafted story and plot and for that we really owe the studio serious kudos. The final reveal was very well handled, deep, and thought-provoking.
Would you kindly consider it to be the second greatest twisted ending? I do!Because once you have killed Ryan you learn that your guide was your ultimate manipulator!
Considering the mind-bending revelation that preceded the boss battle, no matter what ultimate ending you saw it was still a pretty twisted and shocking conclusion and not the one that was really expected...
The thing is the game actually had three possible endings - though really if you did anything other than to save the little sisters you are such a jerk! Just saying.
Check the video above to get all three perspectives - the first being if you saved the little sisters, the second being if you harvested the little sisters. Finally there was the middle-ground, in which you both harvested and saved little sisters - though it may as well have been the second case since the ending was pretty much the same.

You grow capiscum the same way you grow all of the other plants - place a garden patch on your Sim yard, then tap it, and slide the slider to the seeds you want to grow and tap them.
Yep having Clem have to make that horrible choice was pretty gut-wrenching. But it sort of was written on the wall, right?

I only remember the ending of The Walking Dead. This was one of the best stories period. The ending was amazing, and amazingly sad.
