You can use the Karma power Divine Intervention. It does take a long time to get. And it brings the things back to life. It costs 150 points, so most likely you'll get backlashed (unless you have a full points bar) and it will spin and it's just bad. But after an hour your sims stop arguing and you can be friends again. To use a Karma power press the little button that you use to get to the town map and go right to the pink sparkles. And scroll right until you find it (read the descriptions.)
