You can turn off creation mode by saving your family/household when you first make them, I know very irritating when you relive you didn't save it, then you have to enter creation mode by going into the pause menu, you will see resume, save, and so on. Then do whatever it is you want to do, copy, or save your house by going to the town map, go to the main menu, click new game and press move in house hold, and there you go. Hope it helps.

You have to go to Mario's and buy bubble bath. Then go home access your sim's inventory and find it, then you have to choose the place in household option and when placing it place it on the edge of the bathtub.
Your sim can sometimes randomly find bubble bath while digging through other sim's trashcans. And if that doesn't work you can use the cheat Buydebug On and then click the question mark in build mode. That will open the debugged shopping tabs and you can buy bubble bath directly from the Misc category.

Sorry but unless there is some kinbd of cloud save associated with this game or you have a way to access the old file, it could well be gone forever.
