I've poisoned his meal. Do I have to poison something else or what? And am I just supposed to stand there with Thadon until he dies, or can I wait using the back key? (Xbox 360 version.)

A quest log should have appear when you added the drug. Maybe you just need to wait until tomorrow and try again. If that does not work try drugging all the food around his table if that is possible.
Also I forgot to mention that you need to drug his drink as well. I think it is to the left of his plate of food.
Drug both food and his drink and wait for quest pop up to show that it was drugged. then well wait and stuff. If nothing happens then ur dead you entered an in game glitch that happens alot during major quests.
The golden saints are always in the both right and left doors what do I do :(
