versus mode

my friend told me that i don't need to be hooked up to x box live to play versus mode,but every time i try it says i need x box live. is there a way to play versus mode without x box live?

Sorry but there isnt a way you can. x-box live gives versus mode more players to be such as infected or surviors.

Yes you can play with no xbox live!!! Just go 2 the menu and if you wanna play 2 players than press start for the second controller then go 2 PLAY VERSUS then press "play with friends" then press x 2 creat you're own lobby! Then pick you're level! Press creat lobby!then choose the infected so you can play with hunter and boomer and smoker!ONE PERSON CAN ONLY PICK INFECTED!then press start game and you will get 2 battle player 2 with infected zombies!!!!!!!

Yes there is. You need two players and when you go to versus go to game options from online to private or offline.

Yes you need 2 controllers and play with one as zombies and one as survivors
