Who is the last boss in Halo 3 and how do you defeat him, which weapons should I use?

The last boss would be the Monitor and the only way to kill him is with a Spartan Laser. You'll get the Spartan Laser when you face him. Just shoot the Monitor at the right moment to do damage.
