How do you now what rank you are and how hard is it to get that rank?

Well by playing Xbox live with Halo 3, I released there is different divisions to rank it like Lone Wolf. When searching a game it shows your current ranking, and the only way to increase the rank is obtain EXP., to do that you have to win matches, and depending your finishing position of the matches, you can get EXP., but finish to low and you won't be rewarded anything. So all I can tell you is to fight hard, viewing your Halo 3 profile by selecting your name and viewing it should tell you everything you will need to know.
