Okay, so on Halo 2 you used to be able to create multiple accounts. One account could have a red spartan while the other could be purple, and when we went to play slayer and go into the rumble pit games we used to be able to sign both players under the same gamertag. Like the red player and the purple player could both be under the same gamertag and one could be a guest. On Halo 3, my guest had already made her character and had signed out. Then when we signed her back in, her character was gone and was back to the default colors and everything. Is this even clear? It sounds confusing, I know, but do we have to do this everytime a new guest enters, or can I get old characters back in any way?

Try making a guest gamer tag for that person and make them a charactor and it should save
