Why Does The Gravemind And Cortana Regulary Pop Up And Say Things To Yoou I Have Been Confused Since I First Saw Cortana Pop Up On My Hud?

It's important to the story line,they really don't tell you anything new really unless you've never read the first halo book.

It's nothing important. All you have to do is play Halo, Halo2, then Halo3. Once you've played them you will understand the story live without having to listen to Cortana and Gravemind talk.
