Can you play 4 player co-op on halo 3 offline.and can you record you own game play like red vs blue.

Yes you can play 4 player co-op offline me and some friends have done it. I also know that it is possible to record your gameplay but I'm not sure how we forgot to do that.
For 4-player co-op you need to perform a system link (two tvs, four controllers, two copies of the game and system link cable.) and the game automatically records gameplay for you so all you need to do is go to the main menu and go into theatre and click on what mission you want to watch again. Hope I helped :D
Theatre is only temporary videos and missions, so make sure to save them if you want to watch them again you can put it on your file share, you only have 6 slots though.
Yes you just need 4 controllers logged in as guest. Yes you can be it would have to be forge or a custom game, then save the file in theatre and edit or record it there.
