How do you do that attention thing? I mean I now how to do it in halo 2 but not in halo3

You mean the attention thing in red vs blue right? If then, to do that, you have to hold left bumper, right bumper, both analog sticks, down on he d-pad and A for a few secs and then you will have your weapon at ease.

Hold Left Bumper"LB", Right Bumper"RB", both Analog sticks, Down on the D-pad and A for a second or two. These will put the weapons at ease.
