Dunwich Building

Dunwich Building

Whats the story with the dinwich building?

FOR those of you who have reached this point in the game, you find the holo tapes of jaimies, he too is looking for his father, if you find all the tapes and listen to them, you can tell he is ghoulifying and on tape 8 he speaks of a alter and then starts to chant some mumbled chant.

As you know we can find jaimie at he bottom of the building worshiping a strange alter, although I only had the option of killing jaimie as he attacks on sight, I tryed interacting with the alter and even played the number 8 holo tape where he chants and nothing happened, so I am wondering if anything is supposed to happen.

Well, he went in there looking for his father, and I think he found his father as a ghoul and killed him, then fell asleep in front of the alter and was exposed to it's prolonged radiation and became a ghoul himself. Or something like that. There's nothing to do with the statue except for going down there and killing him. The only real reason to go there is to find the bobblehead.

Tl;dr - The statue has no purpose. It's just part of a side-story.

Yes if you have the point lookout DLC it is a part of a side mission in wich you have to destroy a certain evil book and the reward is good karma other than that it's just a freaky pointy thing hope this helps.
