Elder Scrolls or Fable

This doesn't really have to much to do with the game. But is Fable better than the elder scrolls series, such as Oblivion or shivering Isles?B/c I'm thinking of getting it and I'm not sure what to expect.

Fable is when you start as a rookie hero complete missions and be it good or evil people will cheer at you if good or run away screaming if evil your appearance changes the graphics are good compared to morrowind I prefer fable

Morrowind has more options however more options means dirrections to places and you don't geta help arrow like on fable

As for shivering ilse no clue I also advise not buying fable first one but the lost chapter

Fable lost chapter is same as fable exept a extra story added

I doubt it will have the amount of replay-value of oblivion, but it might be a funer game to play with a better story

imaloony8.0 answered:

I haven't played Oblivion, but Fable: TLC was a whole lot of fun. Fable II isn't out yet, so obviously you can't compare it, but based on what I know from the Fable universe, I would pre-order it over buying Oblivion. Which I have.

Grand-Theft-Addict answered:

To be honest they are both awesome games in their own right like oblivion has a massive map span while fable makes up for it in little things that are better so I would recommend you play both to get the full gaming experience

bdunn98 answered:

Well I like fable it's just a better story.

wrasmusson answered:

Elder scrolls has the race choices and intense face modification and a better world and missions and lv. Up, and guilds
Fable has charactor changes trough actions,
Combine both games and it would be a sweet game

stallion8426 answered:

I have only played oblivion from elder scrolls and I have played both fables I recommend fable 2 because I thought oblivion was really hard fun, but really hard

SoONEr Magic52 answered:

Oblivion is a much better game. Even though you can basically control your destiny in Fable, I still never got as immersed in the game as I did with Oblivion. Sure, Fable's graphics are good, but Oblivion's blow it out of the water. Fable's combat is simple, yet limiting. Both allow for you to mix up physical skills and magic, but Fable 2's is so easy that it isn't fun. If you turn the difficulty up, Oblivion has one of the best fighting systems I've ever seen. Overall: Oblivion is the better RPG, but Fable is a close second.

FrankE Mx answered:

I have both oblivion and fable 2, and I found both games nearly the same so I think you should just play like you're friends oblivion or fable 2 to see which one you find is better. Hope this helps!

Guest answered:

I think that the elder srolls is better in most respects. But marrying random poorly voice acted npcs with little variation and little to no dialog just makes fable SO much better. Yes people do believe this.

CMBF answered:

It is not really possible to compare them that way as they are very different games. If you are asking if Fable II is worth the price of admission the answer is yes, yes it is. It is incredibly entertaining, but it is not the typical RPG or Dungeon Crawler.
