What do you need to turn into a dragon? Do you need to be a dragon to beat maxos?

Do you need to be a dragon to beat maxos?

You never face Maxos seeing as Maxos is dead. I think you are referring to Amdusias, and the answer is no seeing as you cannot become a Dragon at that point of time.

To beat Amdusias you will need a vile of his blood, Dragon Scales and the Orbis Arcesso Part Two.

What do you need to turn into a dragon?

To become a Dragon, you will need to defeat Razakel and Laiken in the Battle Tower, and acquire the Dragon Stone which is also in the Battle Tower.

This is part of the main game so you will get to it soon.
