Covenant ! ! ! \-----------------------------/ Plasma Rifle: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Plasma Rifle fires hot plasma bolts at an enemy. It�s very good when dual wielded. It fires about 420-600 rounds a minute. It can be dual wielded. BEST USED AGAINST: Jackasls, Grunts, elites, hunters (dual wield) and drones. Plasma Pistol: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Plasma pistol also fires hot plasma bolts, but it doesn't fire as quickly has the Plasma Rifle. It too can be dual wielded. BEST USED AGAINST: Jackal shields and elite shields. Needler: ~~~~~~~~ This weapon fires small explosive projectiles at enemies. It contains 30 rounds. It homes in on its targets and when enough needles hit an enemy, they will explode. The needler is best used against elites and brutes, but for it to be really effective, it should be dual wielded with another needler. BEST USED AGAINST: Brutes, grunts, elites, flood and sentinels. Brute Plasma Rifle: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The brute Plasma Rifle is somewhat the same as the regular Plasma rifle, except it fires faster and overheats faster. It also can be dual wielded. BEST USED AGAINST: Jackasls, Grunts, elites, hunters (dual wield) and drones. Brute Shot: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ This weapon fires grenades. It can fire a total of four grenades before it needs to be reloaded. The Brute shot is favored by the brutes. It has a very sharp razor bayonet attachment that can be used to melee enemies with it. BEST USED AGAINST: Everything except for drones. Covenant Carbine: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This weapon is used by brutes and elites. It fires a single shot, it can carry 36 rounds before it needs to be reloaded. It is a very accurate weapon. BEST USED AGAINST: Everything. Particle Beam Rifle: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The covenant standard sniper rifle. It can fire a three shot burst before it overheats. It has about 18 shots before it's worthless. It has 5x and 10x zoom. BEST USED AGAINST: Everything but flood. Fuel Rod Gun: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Somewhat similar to the human rocket launcher. It fires a single powerful shot at a time. It can carry a total of five rounds before you need to reload it. BEST USED AGAINST: Everything. Covenant energy Sword: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Possibly the most powerful weapon in the game. The energy sword can kill an enemy in one kill with its uppercut ability. It's wielded by elites and flood. BEST USED AGAINST: Everything but hunters. Plasma Grenade: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This grenade acts like a sticky. When thrown at someone it latches on and there is no way to get it off, and in a couple of seconds, boom, you're dead. It's best used against everything. Grunts, brutes and elites are fully capable to throw them, so watch out. BEST USED AGAINST: Everything. /-----------------------------\ ! ! ! Human ! ! ! \-----------------------------/ The M6C pistol: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This weapon is not near as powerful as the M6D pistol that was in the previous game. But it still packs a punch when dual wielded. BEST USED AGAINST: Everything but hunters and brutes The Battle Rifle: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This weapon is able to shoot 36 rounds without the need of reloading. It shoots at a three shot burst, so you can guess that it's able to shoot a total of 12 bursts before it needs reloading. It as a zoom capability. BEST USED AGAINST: Everything M7 Sub-machine Gun: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The bullet hose. It fires 60 rounds. It can be dual wielded. It's a deadly weapon close range. . BEST USED AGAINST: hunters, grunts, elites, flood and possibly jackals. S2 AM Sniper Rifle: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The best human weapon when it comes to long range. The sniper rifle fires shield and armor piercing rounds. BEST USED AGAINST: Everything but flood. The Rocket Launcher: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The standard marine rocket launcher. Shoots a single high explosive rocket. It can shoot a total of two rockets before you need to reload it. The rocket launcher has a powerful melee. BEST USED AGAINST: Everything and that's including vehicles. M90 shotgun: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The pump action shoot gun is the best weapon when it comes to close range. BEST USED AGAINST: Everything. Frag grenade: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This weapon now has a shorter fuse, and a smaller blast radius. It still is very deadly. It's wielded by your fellow marines and can be used against everything effectively. BEST USED AGAINST: Everything. 0~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~0 | Vehicles (IIK5)| 0~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~0 /-----------------------------\ ! ! ! Human ! ! ! \-----------------------------/ The Warthog: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The warthog can carry a total of three people, one gunner, the driver and the man in the side seat. There Are now two variants of the hog, the original one (machine gun) and the gauss hog. The gauss hog a 25mm projectile at hypersonic velocity. It is the best weapon when it comes to taking down vehicles, well, maybe the 2nd best. Scorpion Tank: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The scorpion is now more powerful, but it's a lot slower. It fires a 90mm shell and its secondary gun, the machine gun. /-----------------------------\ ! ! ! Covenant ! ! ! \-----------------------------/ The wraith tank: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This vehicle is best used to take out vehicles. It has a boost feature. The Ghost: ~~~~~~~~~~ It too, has a boost feature. It fires two-twin plasma cannons that is very dangerous. The Banshee: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It's basically the same as the ghost, except it's an air born vehicle. It can also do barrel rolls and back-flips. The shadow: ~~~~~~~~~~~ This vehicle can carry anywhere from 2-8 people. It has a single plasma torrent. It's able to transport ghosts. Spectre: ~~~~~~~~ This vehicle has a boost feature. It can carry a total of four people; two side seats, one gunner and the driver. Its main weapon, the plasma cannon is best used against taking out infantry. 0~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~0 | The Enemies (IIK6)| 0~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~0 /-----------------------------\ ! ! ! Covenant ! ! ! \-----------------------------/ Elites: ~~~~~~~ The elites are still the most dangerous enemy in the game. They can wield any weapon that you may encounter. our best bet would be to take the elite down first and then focus on the smaller guys. (grunts) Grunts: ~~~~~~~~ The stupidest enemy in the game. These fools will cower in fear if they feel the need too. Take these little idiots out last. But be cautious, for they will throw plasma grenades at you. Jackal: ~~~~~~ These guys now use their shield more effectively. They can also use the covenant beam rifle so be very careful when coming up to areas with them. Drones: ~~~~~~ Possibly the most annoying enemy in the game. These dudes have the ability to fly around. Take them out with the battle rifle. Brutes: ~~~~~~~ These dudes are crazy. Aim for their head and after a few shoots they will go down. Be careful though, if they get pissed off, they will charge and go berserk. Prophet: ~~~~~~~~ You shouldn't really have to worry about these guys. You only take on one in the whole game. Hunter: ~~~~~~~ These guys are very dangerous. They can take down your shields with one single melee attack. They have very strong armor, but behind them there is an area where they can be taken down, but it takes a good amount of time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ /-----------------------------\ ! ! ! Flood ! ! ! \-----------------------------/ Carrier form: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ These dudes will fall over if you get and pop if you get to close and they will deploy flood spores. So take them out from a distance. Flood spore: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Annoying enemy they are. If your shields go completely down, and these dudes latch on to you, they will kill you instantly. They can also revive fallen combat form flood. Combat form flood: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ These guys can wield any weapon in the game, drive any vehicle. Some flood appear to have energy shields. Your best bet, when fighting them, would be to use the energy sword, the brute shots melee attack, the shotgun and maybe even the covenant carbine and battle rifle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ /-----------------------------\ ! ! ! Sentinels ! ! ! \-----------------------------/ Enforcer: ~~~~~~~~~ These large guys can be pretty difficult to kill. Aim for their arm type area. Grenade them and them shoot them to death. Sentinel (Gold): ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ These things have an energy shield. They are basically the same ad the regulars, but they also shoot a blue beam instead of an orange beam Regular Sentinel: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Not a whole lot to say about them except they are not as dangerous as gold sentinels but they still are a hassel. 0~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~0 | Random Tips (IIK7)| 0~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~0 ~Use combos such as Plasma pistol and Battle Rifle. Just Charge the Plasma Pistol, aim at an elite, fire then quickly switch to battle rifle and shoot the elite in the head. ~Don't be afraid to Dual wield needlers. Believe me, people may say that they suck, but the truth is, they are an excellent weapon. ~Reload your weapon all the time even if you still have 3/4 a clip left. Nothing is more worse than running into a battle and then having to reload rather quickly. ~Hide behind objects when your shields are half way down or more. Just hide behind something no matter what it might possibly be. ~When using weapons such as an SMG or Plasma Rifle, fire in large burts. Don't go all Rambo and unload every thing on a single enemy, but instead, try and use as many bullets as you can on as many enemies possible. ~When coming up to a group of enemies try and be stealthy. Melee as many as you can without alerting everyone else. ~Throw grenades into the center of large groups. Don't toss them to the side. ~Give your marines good weapons like battle rifles and snipers. 0~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~0 | The Walkthrough (IIK8)| 0~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~0 (Note: This walkthrough covers the game played on Normal and if there is anything in the game walkthrough that you don't understand, like if I have explained something in a confusing way, just e-mail me, and I'll fix it. The Armory ! ! ! \-----------------------------/ You start out at a testing station where you must decide weather you want your controls to be inverted or non-inverted. Move your control stick in the direction you see that lights flash on. After that, follow the marine to the shield testing station. Once you have completed that, Sgt. Johnson will arrive down in the elevator. Step into the elevator with him. Now just keep following Sgt. Johnson. Cairo Station ! ! ! \-----------------------------/ Mission Objectives: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ O: Repent the Covenant boarders O: Find the Covenant Bomb After the cut scene, head down the stairs and grab a SMG and Battle Rifle and get prepared for your first Covenant battle! Follow the marines to the area where you are overlooking the other MAC guns. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Repent the Covenant boarders ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Home field advantage" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here they come. Once that door explodes open, it's game time. Once the Covenant rush into the room, eliminate them. After they have all been killed, head into the area where the grunts and elites first appeared and turn right. You will then be faced with about five grunts and two elites. Once they have all been dispatched, head up the stairs and into the room that's overlooking two marines fighting covenant. Use the machine gun to dispatch the enemies, once most have been taken down, go into the door at the opposite end of the room from where you first entered and head down to where the marines were fighting. Then head to the very end of the room and turn left. Go up the stairs again. You should then come to an other covenant boarding craft with marines fighting covenant. Turn right and grab some frag grenades and plasma grenades then proceed to take out the bad guys. Once they have all been killed, you should here your marines and Cortana start talking. Then you will see one of the MAC guns explode. After that, a door will explode and more covenant will pour out of it. Take them out and then proceed forward. You should then come to another Covenant boarding station and be pitched against even more covenant. Eliminate all of them. Once they have been killed, yet another MAC gun will explode and two doors open, go down them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Find the Covenant Bomb ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Priority Shift" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ More Covenant will be down here, be cautious and kill them. Walk to the end of the room to the doors. Start shooting, there will be one invisible elite each arriving out the two doors on both sides. The same marine that was helping you at the beginning of Armory will be fighting two elites with a shotgun. He will die, giving you the chance to use his shotgun. Proceed up the steps and dispatch the two elites he was fighting and grab his shotgun. After that you will come to a room that's similar to the one you fought in the beginning of the level. Once again, kill the bad guys. Take out the grunts manning the plasma torrent first with your battle rifle, then take out the elites close range with your shotgun and then focus on the other bad guys. After that head to the end of the room where nothing but grunts appear, kill them with a well placed grenade. Now go up the stairs and into a small room where grunts and elites pour out. Dispatch the with a grenade and a head shot with your battle rifle. Now, go into the area where Sgt. Johnson and Commander Keyes and as well as other marines are fighting. Help them out by killing the grunts and elites. Then keep going start to where even more grunts and elites appear. Head into the room where there's a downed grunt and marine. Two jet- packed elites will come through the door at the end of the room. Kill the with your shotgun and grenade them if you wish. Then exit the room. You will than be outside of the MAC station. You will notice one lone jet-packed elite, kill it. Then proceed to the door with the flashing reddish light. If you're in the right area, you see a dead ODST. You will then be in an area with marines. Drones will appear. Battle Rifle them. Once they have been killed, you will notice a platform coming up with elites and grunts. Kill then, then activate the switch to lower the platform down to the area where you need to be. Once its reached the bottom, go into the room where there's two dead ODSTs and one dead grunt. A door should open, allowing you to see three jet-packed elites. Kill them and then proceed forward. Once you reach the end, turn left and head into the elevator. "Return to Sender" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you reach the bottom, you will see it, the bomb and as well as many elites and grunts. The one that the Scarab shoots down. Proceed to the small doorway where you should be welcomed by a grunt. Blast his ass with your battle rifle. Go to the area where the grunt came from to meet legions of Covenant, kill all of them. Head straight until you come to a small stairwell, and go up it. Or if you want you can stay on the ground. prefer to go where the marines are, it makes everything a whole lot easier. Ok, you'll will be fighting in that area for a while. Maybe about four squads of covenant before a group of drones appear. Use the machine gun to take them a out. Then you'll face about one or maybe two squads until a phantom comes in. Use the machine gun to destroy the torrent and the squad of covenant that are deployed from the Phantom. Then you will be greeted with one more squad of jackals. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Objective: Rendezvous with the pelican ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, man the machine gun or if it has been destroyed, take Sgt. Johnson�s sniper rifle and aim at the gate. Two hunters will bust it open. Kill them quickly. Follow SGT. Johnson, you will than be in an open area with Jackal sniper with regular jackal support at the opposite end. Kill them quickly. A Pelican will appear with marine reinforcements depending on how many marines you still have left after the previous battle, Sgt. Johnson will also get aboard that Pelican, so say goodbye to him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Find marines from second downed pelican ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Continue on, until you reach sniper alley. You will be faced with around 5 or 6 jackal snipers, many drones and a few regular jackals. Focus on taking the snipers out first, they are you biggest threat, then take out the rest. Continue on until you reach yet another small alley, only this time there are less snipers, but more ground troops. Kill all of them, again. Once they have been dealt with, move on until you come to "Hotel: Zanzibar" you will notice it when you see a plasma torrent with a few grunts and one elite fighting the marines. After that, follow the marine Sgt. inside of the hotel, until you see plasma rifle bolts, then hide. Wait until they pass by you than ambush them! Now, Continue on until you come to a bridge with two grunts, kill them and then a Phantom will come and deploy troops. Once they have been dealt with a Warthog will appear. Use it. "A day at the beach" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Destroy the Covenant on the shoreline ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The next part is rather simple. All you need to do is be a good driver, or gunner depending if you let your marines driver or not. Once the Covenant have been killed in one area, just move on to the next. Once the three areas have been cleared, head into the tunnel. Continue across the bridge until you come to a tunnel. Now, go into that tunnel. Now kill the elite and grunts that you see. Continue on until you reach the end of the line, or until you can't go no further. You will then have to abandoned your vehicle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Make your way to the surface ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Take the marines shotgun and move through the tunnel. Start by killing everything that moves, except your marines, and be cautious of snipers. Once they have been dealt with head into the small room that leads to a path that leads outside. "This town Ain't big enough for the both of us" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Proceed until you see a sniper overlooking a huge courtyard with a marine driving a hog. Melee the sniper in the back and jump down. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Regroup with marine forces in city center ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Man the gun on the gauss hog, and eliminate the grunts, elites and snipers in the first area, once that is done, two ghosts will appear. Now destroy them. You will then be drove to an area with two ghosts, one wraith tank, some elites and snipers. Like always, kill them. Then here comes one of the best battles in the game.. You'll will be drove to the city area, with ghosts, wraiths, snipers, and phantoms. Do what you do best. "Field Expedient" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Objective: Board and destroy the Scarab ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Walk towards the two marines, Sgt. Banks and the other marine manning the machine gun. After you see the tank get destroyed by the Scarab, turn left and proceed up the steps towards the door where there is a marine. Continue up the stairs. You will than have to board the scarab. I recommend you grab a sniper rifle and proceed to pick off enemies that are aboard the scarab. Or you can just simply grab the rocket launcher and fire away. Proceed to follow your marines and the scarab until they and it can't go no further. It is now time to board the scarab. Now, proceed to kill everything with your shotgun, then enter the inside of the scarab where you will have to kill three elites, and two grunts. Be careful of the white elite though, if you piss him off, he'll pull out an energy sword. Once the Covenant on the scarab have all been killed, you'll get to enjoy a nice cut scene and.... "That's right you muthus! run!- Sgt. Now sneak into the room and kill the heretic elite and proceed to whale on heretic grunts and elites. Once they have been killed, proceed to go down the ramp type thing and into the small room. You'll be faced with heretic grunts, and a small squad of grunts and elites coming up the elevator. Now get into the elevator and go down. When you reach bottom, take out the sentinels first then start to kill the heretics. Then proceed to unlock the doors by activating the switch by those two giant doors. Once you have done that, be prepared for fuel rod wielding heretics and sentinels. Take them out. Now, head to the very end of the room (the opposite end where you unlocked the doors) and a sword wielding heretic will come out as well as many other heretics. Kill them then proceed to follow the corridor while dispatching heretics. Then you'll come to a medium sized room with elites wielding sentinel beams. Kill them then proceed into another small corridor and keep following it down. Once you reach the bottom, you will come to an area with sleeping grunts. Quietly kill them if possible, then like always, kill the rest of the enemies. Moving on. Now enter the doorway and activate camo. Kill the two patrolling elites then take down the grunts that enters the room. After they are killed, go into the room where you see Banshees on the opposite side of the glass. There he is, the heretic leader. You'll notice him because he is the red elite entering the middle banshee. Now heretics will start pouring out of one of the doors, go in the door that they came out Have and proceed forward. "To the Hunt" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I'm sending one of our Phantoms to support you"- Elite Commander. Start by using a Banshee and proceed by following the Phantom while you destroy heretic banshees and others. Eventually you will come to the area where the heretic leader was. Start by equipping your energy sword that will have the best affect on flood. Proceed forward until you come to a glass room where below you heretics are fighting flood. Walk across it into the other door and enter. Keep going straight until you get to another door. "See heretic."- Grunt The heretic leader should appear, but he'll be a hologram. Don't shoot it, it would just waste ammo. Once the chitchat is over, flood spores will appear. Kill them very quickly. Now, enter the newly unlocked door. Go into that door and then into another door where you come to a platform. Eventually the platform will start descending and once it does, enter yet another door and then proceed down the corridor, but until then, just keep killing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Find the heretic leader ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After that, you'll come to a room with heretics fighting more flood along with flood carriers, so be careful on this next part. Once the door has been unlocked, go inside it. Once the other door has been unlocked go, exit the room and start killing flood. A phantom will drop off reinforcements. Now, proceed up the ledge up to the first door you see. Enter the door.When you enter the large room, start destroying sentinels and flood. Once there all dead a cut scene will play. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Cut the three cables holding up the station ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Do has he says, don't ditch your energy sword. Ok, start out by ascending up the ramps until you reach the top, then once you reach the top, activate the elevator. Once you reach the top, cut the cables. They look like large pillars with lights. Once all three of them have been cut, the station will begin to plummet. Head back to the elevator, activate it and go down. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Pursue the heretic leader back to the hanger ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you reach the very bottom, jump off, you'll hit the ground unharmed. Ok, now go into the room where you lost the heretic leader, or where he activated the shield and you weren't able to pursue him anymore. Activate the elevator and proceed down it. You'll then come to another ramp type object that goes down. Follow it. Go into the door. And a cut scene should play. After the cut scene grab the banshee and fly to the area where the marker is. "Dead or Alive.. Actually, just dead" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Follow the corridor and enter the door you'll then be faced with flood, but ignore them and proceed to enter the door at the bottom. For the rest of the level, just go the same way as you entered. "Heretic leader; boss Fight" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Kill the heretic leader ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The best way to kill the heretic leader would be to take out his holograms via Plasma �nade and then go after the real one. Use your energy sword and plasma grenades and if you can, use dual wielded plasma rifles. Start by taking the ODST's Battle Rifle, swap it with your SMG. Now head up the cliff, and join your fellow marines in combat. Once you get up the cliff, you'll notice a structure, your best bet would be to infiltrate it, you will have a better chance at holding your grounds there. Once you reach the structure, head up too the top of it, kill the jackal sniper. Now, bust out your rocket launcher, a Phantom is on its way. Once the Phantom arrives, shoot the torrents with your rockets. Covenant will be dropped below so take careful aim and blast them to hell with your rocket launcher and clean up any stragglers. After that, there is one more Phantom on its way, repeat the same process that you did with the first Phantom. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Extend the bridge and cross the chasm. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grab another weapon if you�re out of rockets. And wait for the Pelicans to drop off a Warthog. Now once the hog has been dropped off, take the seat and head along the path. If you get to the right area, you'll see Jackal snipers and a large structure out in the middle of a large lake. Kill the snipers and proceed along the path. You'll then reach another structure, but with Wraiths on the opposite side of the retracting bridge. Kill everyone then proceed to enter the inside of the complex and lower the bridge. After you've lowered the Bridge, Sgt. Johnson will bring a tank let your marines drive the hog whilst you man the tank. Head across the newly extended bridge and destroy the wraith. Head into the tunnel and keep following it. Eventually you will come to an open area with yet another tunnel like area on the opposite side, kill everything in your path and proceed on. Go down the ramp to be greeted with ghosts and torrent grunts, blast them with your tank and continue on. You will now come to an area with structure in the center and other structures surrounding it, kill everything then wait for reinforcements and ammo. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Objective: Pull through the Covenant held ruins. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you have your soldiers ready and have refitted with weapons, head into the center of the structure. Be cautious though, there will be many elites, jackals and grunts. Once you are in the center KILL, KILL don't leave any Covenant alive, then head up to the area where the jackals came. Head up it and kill the elites and proceed on where you arrive at an area where grunts and some jackals come rushing out. Kill them. Proceed along the small trail until you reach a small water area with a sniper overlooking it. "Off the Rock, through the bush, nothing but jackal" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Melee the jackal in the back, now, bust out the sniper if you brought one, or take the snipers sniper and take out the jackals and a few elites that you see down in the valley are below you. Once you reach the bottom, some drones will appear, kill them quickly and proceed to the small narrow ledge type thing that's in the middle of the area, cross it and head up the path to kill more snipers, jackals and elites. Once they have all been killed, it into the alcove and you will eventually reach a platform type thing with some weapons. Grab some and head into the structure along the path. ""Be Cautious"" there is two Sword wielding elites, one Dual wielding elite, and another regular elite. Kill them the proceed out to the go through the door where the elites came out of. Continue on and take out the sniper(s) on the platform. Proceed across the bridge like object and kill the sniper, grunts and elites then enter into the small complex and level the grunts and jackals. Now go into the small doorway and out into the open, quickly kill all the snipers and carbine wielding elites. Soon after they've all been killed, a phantom will come and drop off two hunters. Very cautiously kill them, I recommend grabbing a sniper and shooting them in the orange part on their back. Once they?re dead, a pelican will arrive and drop off marines and supplies. Now, get ready for another battle, a gondola from the other tower is on its way with jackals, grunts and a few elites. Once they arrive, kill them and activate the gondola and traverse to the tower. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Objective: Ride the gondola to the far towers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On your ride over there, you'll fight some drones, and another gondola full of covenant, kill them all once you get to them, then continue on. Once you reach the tower either take some cover or shoot at the snipers and torrent grunts, then enter the complex. Once you�re inside, deal with the jackals, and drones. The elevator coming up to where you are, is loaded with a few jackals, once they arrive, kill them then enter the elevator and descend. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Pass through the submerged structures. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you arrive in the new tower, proceed on. And eventually you'll come to an area with a few patrolling and a few sleeping grunts. You can clear this are however you wish. Once you are done with them, head up the ramp to another area. You can either go up another ramp or you can enter the next part on the door at the bottom. Once you enter this area, you will face hordes of snipers, drones two sword wielding elites and two hunters. Deal with them and enter the doors where the two hunters appeared. Go around the back of the wall and enter through the door. Once there dead head up the ramp and towards another elevator, activate the elevator and descend. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Reach the main temple ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you reach your destination, you'll see a patrolling sword-wielding elite, quietly kill him, then you'll come a few grunts and one elite, kill them. Before you get there a cut scene will play. Head straight and activate the other piston, then fall down and head into the room. keep going straight and watch out for sentinels. Activate the piston again and drop down it. Enter the room and help the grunts and jackals out. Now follow the light beam that you see above you, that's just the best way to navigate. keep following the now once you get to the end, turn left and heads towards the piston and activate it, go down it. Enter the room and destroy any sentinels you see, at the end, activate yet another piston and go down it. "Semi Boss Battle; Sentinel Enforcer: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The best way to defeat these beats is to aim for their arm type things just you sentinel beams and plasma grenades. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Objective: Power up the 4 absorbers to lower the containment shields ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you've killed that thing, activate the four pistons and then the main one in the middle. Note: The main one won't appear until the other four have been unlocked. Viola! The big door in front of you will open! The platform that you're on will start to move so don't freak out....yet "Buyer's Remorse" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the sentinel enforcer "chases off" the Phantom, look dead ahead on those ledges, see them? Do you see the Flood? Well, open up on those bastards with your Covenant Carbine, try and kill as many as you possibly can. Take down the sentinel enforcer and then go to the giant door to your left and enter it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Make your way through the flood infested wall ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The giant door type structure to your left, jump up to that and it should open. Continue along the hallway until you come to another piston, activate it and go down it. Continue along yet another hall way, just keep going down it while you battle flood. Once you come to another piston go down it and to your right there's some dead marines, take their shotgun. Just keep going down the darker and darker always. (Note: Use Active Camo when you feel the need) Activate another piston and enter it. You'll then come mto an area that has flood fighting sentinel enforcers and regular sentinels by a giant ledge, just ignore them and continue on to your left. Eventually you will come to *gasp* another piston, activate it and enter. Go into the dark hallway and just continue killing flood and venturing forward. Once again, follow the light beams. Keep following them. Keep following, and once you reach the end turn left and activate the piston and enter. Activate another piston and proceed. You'll now come to an area with a piston in the center over looking a humongous structure far out, enter the piston and go down. OH NOES!!!!! The phantom left without you! Oh well, grab the sword lying next to the piston and enter the piston. Then you'll come to an open area with sentinels\ enforcers fighting flood. You have two options, fight or boost. Your choice. Now, head straight and turn right heading down a ramp, and head into the door were the Warthog appeared. "Healthy Competition" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Then just keep following the path. Once you reach the bottom, enter the gate and head straight down where the wraith is, turn left then head across the bridge and then turn right and head across another bridge. Then head left, and you'll come up to a snow covered bridge, head across it and keep going straight until you come to a cave, follow that cave until it leads you to a opening with a scorpion tank. Get out of your vehicle and get up close to the tank and board it thus killing the flood driver. Ok, now head into the small tunnel and proceed onward. Then eventually you'll come to a room with sentinel\enforcers fighting flood. Kill anything in your path and head to the opposite side of the room from where you were and proceed on. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Objective: Link of with Spec-ops leader and break through the flood barricade ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you reach another open area, head left and then right and into the cave, then you'll reach another room. Kill everything in your way. Head into the small area with boxes and jump to the ground. You'll now be in an open area with a wraith tank and a lone scorpion tank, Use it, the scorpion that is. The scorp. is located in the rear of the area where you are. Destroy the wraith with your tank, enter the short tunnel and then turn left and just follow the path until eventually you will come to another large area with scorpion, wraiths and enforcers battling. Once you've killed everything, head into the large complex, kill more flood (Note: Rocket Flood, be careful) and then head into the small door on foot. Keep pressing on forward and eventually you'll reach an area that will initiate another cut scene. Good Job so far... Quickly take them out with the needler. Once they're dead grunts and some brutes will come out and attack you. Kill all of them. Once they have all been killed, head towards the doors. Once the doors open, you'll be faced with about 5 maybe 6 grunts and a couple of brutes. Grenade the brutes and kill the grunts with your weapons. Once they're dead, head towards the opposite side of the room and enter the doors. You'll be pitched against more brutes, jackals and some grunts. Kill every last one of them. Once the brute captain comes up the lift, kill him and take his Brute shot, it has a powerful melee that will be a great help. Now enter the gravity lift, pick off the sniper and grunts down below. And also grab the sniper, it'll help you a good amount later on. Now go into the door and kill the jackals. And then take out the brutes and grunts. Once they've been killed, head into the new room with the sleeping grunts, kill as many as you can. After that, the door behind, jackals will arrive kill them and the forth coming brutes and grunts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Rescue the Marines being held in the detention block ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now proceed towards the other door at the end. Once you've entered the next room, kill the brutes and drop down the center gravity lift. Once you reach the bottom, try and be sneaky. Take out as many as you possibly can. Now, kill everyone on the top floor then drop down to the second floor and repeat. Now go into the newly unlocked doors on the middle floor and rescue the marines. Then head to the bottom floor and rinse 'n repeat. Once you gotten all of them, head back up to the central gravity lift kill all the bad guys coming down it and then enter it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Objective: Follow Prophet of Truth to the far tower ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you reach the middle floor, grab your self the Plasma Sword and Dual wield plasma rifles. As soon as you enter the door, elites will rush out of it, so get prepared. Kill them and then kill the drones that rush you. Continue on and kill everything that gets in your way until you reach the far doors. Repeat the same with this room. Kill until you reach the opposite door way. Enter the doors and be prepared to fight two hunters, only this time you're in close quarters, so be careful. Now enter the doors and turn left and kill the elites, and brutes and as well as the sniper in the tower. Note: I recommend you equip some of your marines with sniper rifles. Now jump down where more hunters are battling and kill them yourself, then jet packed elites will come, kill them. Now head up along the path that will lead you up to more doors, enter them and go down. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Stop Truth from boarding his Phantom ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jump into the gravity lift and head to the other side. Once you get there take out the sniper and to the left of the lift, more elites and grunts followed by a few brutes will come and attack you, kill them and continue on. You'll now come to an area with elites fighting brutes, kill them all and then follow the path around the tower like you previously did. Once you reach the other side, kill the sword wielding elites and then work on killing everything else. Enter the grav. lift and be transported the to the other side, then enter the doors. Quickly blast the drones and then head into the doors to your left and enter the small courtyard. This part can be a little tricky, so be careful will you proceed through this area. Now enter the opposite door you came in and keep moving. Enter the lift and just keep on moving. Eventually you will come to an area with grunts and brutes fighting, but like the grunt, they're running around like cowards, so kill them and the brutes then move on. Once you reach the other side of the tower, grab a sniper then go across the gravity. lift. Now pull out your sniper and snipe the brutes that come out of the doors ahead of you, then enter the doors yourself. You'll be brought on to another courtyard so kill the sniper and then everything else. Now find a way to get to those other doors on the other side. Once you get there, you'll space two invisible sword elites, kill them then enter the doors. Once you're inside go towards the right side and melee the elite in the back then keep moving. Once you enter that room, there's an invisible elite, like always, defeat him. Then grab the Fuel Rod Cannon. Trust me, this baby will come in handy. Enter the new room and defeat all the covenant, then head tower then head straight through the doors and follow the path up to the mausoleum. A good size squad of Covenant will come out of the doors to the mausoleum kill them carefully then enter them doors! "You might consider sitting this one out."- Cortona. You can if you want, or you could just join the fun. If you decide to have fun, start by taking the white elites out first. BUT, they can and will bust out their sword, so be careful. Once the last enemy has been dropped, the doors will open and some invisible elites and a white elite with a sword will come out. A small squad of brutes will appear and attack you, sticky them with your plasma grenade. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Objective: Exact vengeance on the brute traitors ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, head along the ledge and kill the brutes and wait for elites to fall from the sky in their pods. Once they have arrived, head into the complex and you will come to a ledge with two grunts, proceed around the side and kill the jackals and brutes that appear. Keep following the area around the pillar thing in the middle and head up the slope. Go around another pillar and then head up another slop and kill the drones, and brutes that get in your way. Head into the doors and go the edge and eliminate the brutes and jackals. More brutes should enter the door so kill them. The go through the door yourself and you will come to a ledge with two explosive canisters two your left. Push them down onto the jackals below. Jump down and kill more brutes then enter the door. You will come to another area with more brutes below you, kill them, then enter that door! You will then come to an open area with two brutes and some jackals kill them then keep following the path while you level any brutes, and jackals that get in your way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Fight you way to the canyon floor ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As I stated above, just keep fighting your way through until you get to a structure with a jackal sniper overlooking it.. Once you get there dump your plasma pistol for a better weapon, then enter the doors. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Fight your way back inside the Mausoleum tower ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >From the other side, brutes will enter the room, quickly deal with them then enter the door they came out of and head straight and enter the gravity lift. Once you reach the top go straight and enter the doors. Now kill as many of the drones that you see and then go on the light bridge and enter the transporter type thing to your left. Go across, then step onto the glow like thing straight in front of, BUT this one will take a second or two to set up. While you're waiting, kill the flood, brutes and drones, then enter the transporter. Once you reach the end, enter the door and blast the two flood that come running out of the room. "Please, make yourselves at home" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New objective: Stay ahead of the flood sweeping through High Charity ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ok, let us continue forward. Head to the doors at the far end while blasting whatever flood are in your way. Just keep running through and blasting untill you come to a courtyard area. Once you reach that area, stay on the walkway and keep moving until you reach another door and enter it. Repeat the same idea once you enter another courtyard like area. Once you've entered the door, go down and turn left, enter the doors and activate the elevator. "Sanctified" ~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you reach the top, head straight until you reach an area with snipers and brutes, kill every last one of them then walk up to the giant doors, wait untill they're unlocked then enter them and head straight, turn right and go towards the doors. When you come around the corner, there will be a brute using a torrent, sticky him then deal with any brutes that are coming towards you. Once you get to where the brutes are, more brutes and a sniper will be there, quickly deal with the sniper and brutes then enter the tunnel from where they came out, enter the door and keep moving. You will Come to a bridge with jackals, a sniper and a few drones, Continue across it and blast anything in your way. Enter the door keep going until you reach a room with detention cells. Activate Camouflage go and free the hunters that are on the right side, blast the object at the bottom and free them. While the hunters are occupying the brutes, free the elites.
