-------------
INTRODUCTION:
-------------

I'm creating this guide for all those in need of money in the game of
Fable. I scoured the internet in search of a guide for young entrepreneurs,
but alas I could find none. Therefore, I decided to create one to help all
those struggling with financial stability.

There are multiple reasons for gaining large sums of money in the
realm of Albion. Some weapons and clothing alone can be pricey. The legendary
greatsword Solus, purchased from Browstone North, valued at $69,825. Then if
you are on your way to the path of enlightenment, the price that Ivo and their
temple costs can really put a damper on your pocket.

Yes, performing quests will give you the money required to make it
through the game, but to conquer the world you must first conquer the economy.
I will lead you to your success.

--------
TRADING:
--------

The first skill you must master is the art of trading. Mastering this
skill you can make thousands in mere moments. There is an art to proper
trading, much more then just buying from one store and selling to another
store. To get the most out of trading, you need to rely on both your
attractiveness and guile. While also depending on your knowledge of the wares
of the local vendors of the multiple towns of Albion.

Dressing for Success:
---------------------

Just like in the real world, you need to make yourself presentable
when dealing with people. I would first buy from the man in silk before make a
purchase from the man in the rags. Because of this, you want to wear clothing
and groom yourself properly, so that you raise your attractiveness way into
the positives while at the same time you drop you scariness down into the
negatives.

Clothing -
[Will User's Bright Clothes]
This outfit is by far the best for any trader to wear, raising your
attractiveness a whole +51. It is also extremely easy to get the complete
suit, being that it is in a chest behind the demon door at Rose Cottage. All
you need to do for this demon door is bring him a gift, for he is lonely and
is in need of some love. Chocolate or a rose is all that is necessary, unless
you wish to be more generous with it.

Grooming -
When choosing both hairstyles and facial hair, keep in mind that you are
trying to drop your scariness into the negatives. The styles of Normal and
Bald are good picks for hair, while something like the Full Beard is something
to go along with for facial hair.

Tattoos -
Using a creative combination of tattoos, you can actually remove unused
articals of clothing. A creative set of tattoos for your shoulders, chest,
back, and arms can can totally replace a artical of clothing for your torso.

	.Outfit Idea.
(+100 Attractiveness / -100 Scariness)

Hair -	Bald
Face -	Full Beard
Tats -	Somrune [Face]
	Krydon [Chest]
	Karlan Wings [Shoulders Chest]
	Harion Shoulders [Shoulders Back]
	Harion Arm [Arms]
Head -	None
Arms -	Bright Will User's Gloves
Torso -	None
Legs -	Bright Will User's Leggings
Feet -	Bright Will User's Boots

This is awesome for any True Good hero.

Guile:
------

This is a must have skill for a trader. As guile is increased in
levels your bartering skill increases with traders. As you maximize this
skill, you will realize that prices are casully dropping in shops and the
traders are starting to buy items for much more. Each level creates about a
3.5 difference.

You eventually receive the skills steal and lockpick from leveling
guile. With these skills you may actually take items from a shop, and resell
them back to their original owner.

How to Steal Properly -
Some people have been asking me about stealing, that they can't do it
or they aren't able to get all the items in a shop. Easy stealing requires a
stealthy hero, a hero with a high level of guile. Stealing is easily performed
at night, while people are sleeping. Wearing stealthy clothes, a assassin or
bandit outfit, enter into a victim's home or shop. You can do this by either
lock picking or breaking the door during the day. Sneak around the building
holding L3. When you find an item you wish to steal face it in order to
highlight it. If you have the ability, the steal icon will appear in your
emotions. You must press and HOLD steal until you take the item. This is when
you just hope noone sees you.

When first starting as a trader, you don't receive many skill
experience points. Later, when dealing with larger amounts of goods and money,
you will recieve much more experience. Farming skill points with a bow is a
great way to raise this skill quickly. Also, there are two areas of
recommendation...

1. For low characters, Ancient Cullis Gate early in the game contains Hobbes.
They continually respawn by the gate allowing for huge experience gains.

2. For high characters, Cliffside Path contains an endless supply of undead.
I've walked away with 400,000 experience in one try.

Remember to use Physical Shield while farming. Bring plenty of will
potions. You want to keep your combat multiplier high. I have gotten mine up
to 160 in Cliffside Path, and that was only until I desided to stop. This is
also the time to use all your items that give experience! An Ages of Skill
Potion gives 100 skill experience, but will give 1000 with a combat multiplier
of 10. At 100, you can gain an extra 10,000 skill experience.

The Witchhunter & Skorm's Bow:
----------------

Because of needing points in skill, the weapon of choice for a trader
is the bow. Using the bow to it's fullest potential, you can gain huge amounts
of experience in short amounts of time. Most traders will find that they will
become Witchhunters, archers that use a good amount of will powers. Every
trader needs to carry a good bow, the best bow in the game being Skorm's Bow.
I will walk you through the PROPER way of getting Skorm's Bow.

Skorm's Bow is obtained through the Chapel of SKorm, located in
Darkwood. You must sacrifice a follower at the chapel to obtain this item. The
sacrifice must occur at nighttime, and the victim must be of full health.
These are of Skorm's askings. Now, all the confusion that is going around to
as what time you need to make the sacrifice of your victim. The time of night
is directly related to your alignment. Heroes of true evil must make the
sacrifice at 6:00pm. Heroes of true good must make the sacrifice at 6:00am.
While heroes of alignment true neutral need to make their sacrifice at
12:00am. Look at your alignment in the personality menu, use that to figure
out what time to make the sacrifice to receive your gift.

(Ex: My alignment read 1/2 evil, therefore I must make the sacrafice at 9:00pm
to receive Skorm's Bow.)

You can do this as soon as you leave the Heroes' Guild, before the
Wasp Queen. Teleport from the chapel to a town, get a henchman, then teleport
back. This will allow you to have the bow for the entire game!

The Wasp Queen falls in 1.5 hits...

Mixing Skorm's Bow with Time Stop, Force Push, & Physical Shield will
make you a one trader wreching machine.

Albion Economy:
---------------

To succeed as a merchant in Albion, you must learn the economy system
of Albion. All items in Albion have a base value, or suggested retail price
[SRP].

Why do prices vary during purchases? When a trader has a large some of
a single item, he sells for far below the SRP. Though, when a trader only has
a few of an item, he will sell them for close to the SRP if not over it. Also,
if a trader has a quantity of greater then 51 of any one item, he will sell
that item for its wholesale price, until the quantity reaches 51 or less.

The same goes for selling to a trader, but in a reverse roll. When a
trader has a large some of a single item, he will buy low. This allows for
little or no profit from trading. When a trader has little or none of a
certain item, he will buy for close to or over the SRP. This can allow for
huge profits.

So the object is to play this like Wall Street, buy low and sell high.

How To Trade Properly:
----------------------

I will now explain the actual art form, known as the trade. To start,
all towns have their own set of stores, somewhere to buy; weapons, clothing,
and items. These stores are unique to each area, being that no two stores have
the same inventory of goods. The item shops around Albion tend to specialize
in certain goods, supplying large quantities or certain ones to you. This
decreases the price of that item, allowing for you to buy a percentage of them
to sell somewhere else for a profit.

When purchasing goods, only buy a portion of the number that shop has
of a single item. For as you buy more of an item from a shop, the purchase
price will increase.

(EX: If the shop has 65 sapphires, don't buy all of them, buy 14. This way you
will purchase all of them at wholesale price. Once the store restocks, you can
come back to purchase more)

When merchants are selling an item that they have more then 51 in
quantity, the price is reflecting it's lowest possible price, or wholesale
price. If you are purchasing items from a trader though, and he has less then
51 of that item. make sure you don't send too much on the item that you won't
return a profit from it. Spending more then 55-60% of the SRP won't get you
the best return for profit.

When you are finally ready to sell your stock off, look for other
traders who are in need of what you have to offer. Traders with none of an
item will pay the most. Traveling merchants are by far the best to sell to,
for they only keep the sold goods while they are in the area with you. Unlike
store traders, who can accumulate certain goods, because they don't stock
those goods themselves. When a storeowner accumulates goods, he will pay less
for the same item later.

This is the process by which you will make a fortune in Albion.

The Stores:
-----------

Now, the knowledge you need for the fortune you want. here is a list
of all the item shops across Albion. You will also find which store offers
larger quantities of certain items, so that you may easily plan out a trade
route in advance. Stores are listed in order by which you discover them in
game play. An [X] will mark a good buy.

I've only listed item shops, for it is only there wares we will be
dealing in. There is no profit in buying and selling weapons and clothes, for
you can only have one of each at a time and the prices are poor.

Again, this is the complete list of all item shops in the game. Beyond
this shop, there are merchants who roam the lands of Albion. I have
encountered hundreds of merchants selling items while walking around, but so
far I have only seen four different inventories. I will add those shortly. It
is these traveling merchants that you want to sell your stock to, for they
usually pay the greatest amount of money. Also, sold goods disappear each time
you encounter a different merchant with the same inventory, so he'll
start out buying for top dollar once more. Unlike a shop, where sometimes your
goods you sell stay in the shop, lowering the price of later deals.

Tips of the Trade:
------------------

1. Gifts are by far the most profitable to trade. After a restock, you can
easily buy Sapphires from Hook Coast (65 in Shop Inventory!), Rubies from
Knothole Glade, Diamonds, Perfume & Red Roses from Bowerstone North. Then sell
these to a few traveling merchants for 2-3X what you paid, maybe even more.

2. The traveling merchant who purchases precious stones and other gifts for
the most money can be found majority of time in the Darkwood areas. (EX:
Darkwood Lake)

3. Sometimes you may find yourself trading faster then the shops will restock
their inventories. By purchasing the homes in the different towns, will allow
you to sleep the days away quickly and free, while collecting rent. Traders
can easily afford these homes. Yes, you can sleep in a home you are renting,
as long as you don't disturb the rentors. This is like breaking down the door
in the middle of the night.

4. The shop in Heroes' Guild marks items up a whole 60%, not worth your while
to make purchases. Though it is an easy way to make some quick cash at the
beginning of the game by trading produce from Bowerstone South to Heroes'
Guild. Apple Pies and Grain Sacks can bring you a quick cash flow at this
point in time.

5. Having trouble finding just the right traveling trader? There are two
approaches, find them or have them find you. Running back and worth quick
between two areas, only checking nearby traders makes things a little easier
because it eliminates battles. Or try killing all the enemies in an area, then
sitting in the walking path. NPCs constanly enter and leave areas, so maybe
your trader will just come to you. Also, Try enlarging the map with R3 while
in an area, so you may see the traders walking around better.

For Love & Money:
-----------------

Many trips to the local shops may cause some of the owners to fall in
love with your hero. With this, you may wish to propose and marry one of the
shop keepers. Many thought this impossible, being that every time you engaged
them they would ask you to trade. I found a way though! Propose to them with
a ring, and then the next time they ask you to trade tell them, "No." They
will then ask you to marry them.

(Note: By marrying a shop keeping they will no longer tend to the shop or
trade any goods. The shop they once used will become for sale. If by chance
you divorce your trader wife, she will go back to the shop. Renting out a
shop will have another shopkeeper move in with the same exact inventory as
the last.)

------------
REAL ESTATE:
------------

Buying an Investment:
---------------------

Every real estate purchase in Albion is an investment in multiple
ways. It can be a future home for that happy couple. Why pay all that money in
the tavern for a bed while you are waiting for the shops to restock inventory,
when you have free room and board right here? Possibility to make large sums
of money leasing property out to rentors. Also, If ever you decide you no
longer want the property, you can always sell it for the exact amount you put
into it.

Every town has a single marital home for sale, this is the only home
that is upgradeable by you. You may purchase other properties in the towns
also, though they tend to run more in money. This seems to be because you are
already buying a partially upgraded home. Besides homes, taverns and shops can
also be purchased and rented. Remember though, in order to buy additional
properties in a town, the original owners to somehow be "evicted" from the
premises.

Upgrading:
----------

To get the full worth of your property, upgrade it to its maximum.
This is the only way to get the total get possible from the marital
properties. Remember, if you are wondering, only marital properties are
upgradeable. These are the original properties that are for sale when you
first enter into a town.

Also, you may have noticed a plaque or two in you upgraded homes.
These are used to hang trophies. Trophies will raise the amount of income a
property will receive from rent or a sale. By hanging one high level trophy
and one mid level trophy in each home, you could increase profits incredibly.
Hang high-level trophies in homes with only one plaque.

Playing Landlord:
-----------------

This is the best part, getting paid. Rent is paid out in thirds per
day. You can either collect it everyday, or wait 3-day intervals and collect
it all at once. Each day a moneybag will be placed in front of the home's
signpost, 3 moneybags being the maximum. I easily make an extra $15,000 every
3 days with my 5 homes for rent. That, on top of the money I make trading, is
huge.

Tips for the Real Estate Agent:
-------------------------------

1. Quick cash can be made by upgrading a home to the point where you can place
trophies in it. Oakvale is nice because you can place two. Break the door, so
you can go in and out as you please. Place 2 high level trophies on plaques,
then sell the home. You can enter, take trophies back, and re-buy home for
less then what you sold it. Quick cash is made this way. Also, trophies can be
hot-keyed, so you can access them easily.

2. Just as you would wait for restocking while trading, if you need some extra
cash, just sleep away 3 days in one of your houses. Then make your rounds
collecting rent. Easy $10k-$15k in only moments this way if you own fully
upgraded homes in all the towns.

3. For those lonely souls that deal in property. No matter how many wives you
have its doubtful you with ever have a child in Fable. Though, ever see those
kids in Bowerstone South? They aren't orphans, some have mothers and big
sisters. By renting the home out in Bowerstone South will give you a chance to
find some of the single parents in town. They will move in with the children.
You can then wake up to a stepchild hovering over you.

4. There are 3 methods of eviction. You can easily make any property in Albion
for sale. Killing all owners will allow you to buy to property. Marrying the
owner will allow you to buy the property. Having the the owners follow you to
another area, other then the town, and leaving them will allow you to buy the
property.

5. Shops and taverns are poor investments.
(EX: Knothole Glade's Weapon Shop - $63,000 - Rent of $378)
This is a poor investment, for the amount of money you make from rent will
take a long time to pay back the money you put into the property.
