I cannot complete the pilgrimage for the church. I have completed the journey to all shrines except the Puzzle Canal. If I enter the puzzle canal nothing happens. Its just endless tunnel, after tunnels, after tunnels. If there is anybody can help me out I would appreciate it.

In the center of Level 3 of the puzzle canal, you should find a shrine that will give you a message saying "Breathe the Waters if His Glory and the Way is Made Clear". What you have to do now is to drown yourself in the water, and once your health reaches a certain level you will be healed. The true shrine will be revealed, and there should be a dremora there, don't attack him. Get a silver longsword to him from the chest and you will then be able to activate the shrine.
I advise you to undertake this quest early on as I did it very late in the game, and since I had lots of health it took me more then 15 minutes to drown.
